Answers to Your Face Reading Questions

Perhaps you'd like to know...

Can face reading tell me if someone is good or bad? Can you predict if someone will do something bad?

No, this method cannot tell you if someone is inclined to do “bad” things or has malevolent intentions. What it does tell you is what needs they have, what drives them. Some of those traits may make it easier for them to do things that others would find unacceptable. For example, someone who lacks a need for truth (seen in the eyelids), would have an easier time lying than someone who needs truth and therefore values it.

Does this work on people of different races?

Yes. This technique can be used on people of all races. However, it is important to remember that members of different races tend to share certain features. So, for a reading to be accurate, you must consider the relative size of the feature, compared with others of that race. For example, African-Americans tend to have fuller lips. You need to take that into account when you read an African-American’s face and evaluate lip size against other African-Americans you have studied.

How long will it take me to learn this?

You can be reading faces within a few minutes of learning what a particular feature means. Face reading is not hard. In fact, it’s easy. But the more faces you analyze, the better and more accurate you will become.

How quickly can I start applying the information?

Just like learning it, you can apply it quickly. You’ll probably want to practice some before relying too heavily on your analyses, just to make sure you’re accurate.

Where can I get your book?

If you local bookstore doesn’t have a copy, they can quickly and easily order it. Also, In Your Face is available from online sources, including www.Amazon.com.

How accurate is this form of face reading?

Most people Bill Cordingley analyzes will tell him he’s 85-100% accurate. Most people who were analyzed by the originator of this technique said her accuracy was between 90 and100%. More than anything else, accuracy is a function of practice. Therefore, the longer you do it, the better you will become. What makes this an interesting question is that 1) people often don’t know themselves (or don’t see themselves clearly), and 2) we can override our personalities at any time (we can shift our personalities). Because of that, when a person says some part of their analysis is inaccurate, it’s hard to know if it’s the analysis or the person that’s “off.”

I’m a skeptic. Prove to me face reading works.

There are two reasons we can see with certainty that this technique works. First, we have empirical data: Between the founder of this technique and Bill Cordingley, this method has been used for over 60 years, on thousands upon thousands of people with pretty consistent accuracy. Second, there is actually a scientific basis for the method, put forth by a physician, Dr. Leopold Bellak: As we go through life and we act and react to our experiences, our faces change according to the facial muscles we use and the hormones our bodies create in response to our life experiences. So, over time, our faces reflect who we are. We always invite people to prove it to themselves. Once you learn what each facial feature means, you will have no doubt that it works!

How can I use face reading in my life?

Face reading is a very useful tool for all your relationships (and potential relationships). In your personal life, you can use it to better understand why people you know do what they do (because you better understand what their needs and drives are). You can use it to identify people you want to know better—and avoid people you really wouldn’t enjoy being around.

In your work, you can use it on your colleagues to improve and enhance your relationships (since you’ll know what makes them “tick” and what they need from you to feel comfortable). If you’re in sales, use it to better meet the needs of your prospects and customers. And, if you work in customer service, you will have an added tool to understand how to talk to people and serve their needs.

Will this work if I don’t believe in it?

Yes, but experience has shown that the more you believe in it, the better it works. That means that the more you use it and trust it, the better it will work. It’s just like riding a bicycle: the more you do it, the more confident you feel and the better rider you become.
