On The Subject of Face Reading:

How is reading faces useful in today's business world?

Much of business is built on relationships and communication. With customers. Prospects. Clients. Service providers. Colleagues. The more you understand about the people you are selling to, talking to or working with, the more you can speak to them in ways that they will hear and relate to. Reading faces provides many valuable insights into our personalities, drives and motivations, facilitating better communication and more rewarding interaction.

Face reading is a very useful tool for all your relationships, whether business-related or personal.

Is there any scientific basis for face reading?

There are two reasons we can say with certainty that this technique works, including a scientific basis. First, we have 60 years of empirical data: the founder of this technique and Bill Cordingley have used this method for 6 decades, on thousands upon thousands of people, with consistent accuracy. Second, there is a scientific basis for the method, put forth by a physician. That is, our faces are actually quite changeable, and alter their appearance according to the facial muscles we use and the hormones our bodies create in response to our life experiences. So, over time, our faces reflect who we are. But nothing "proves" this technique more than using it. So, Bill Cordingley always invites people to try it themselves. Experience has consistently shown that once they learn what particular facial features mean, there is little room for doubt that it works.

How accurate is this face reading technique?

Most people whom Bill Cordingley analyzes will tell him he's 85- 100% accurate. Most people who were analyzed by the originator of this technique assessed her accuracy as between 90 and 100%. More than anything else, accuracy is a function of practice. Therefore, the longer you do it, the better you will become.

How does Bill handle people who don't accept "reading" faces as a viable business or professional tool?

Bill is the first to admit that face reading is anything but mainstream, at least in the United States. But that doesn't mean it doesn't work or that its not valuable. After reading faces for over 30 years, he also recognizes that this concept is not something that everyone easily embraces. That's why, rather than try to force this down anyone's throat, Bill gently but steadily works to open their minds a bit. He knows that, as soon as an individual is able to entertain the possibility that face reading might work, then it will.

Can this methodology by used on people of different races?

Yes. This technique can be used on people of all races, ethnic backgrounds and cultures. However, it is important to remember that, generally speaking, in each race (or group) there are specific facial feature characteristics that are dominant. Therefore, for a reading to be accurate, you must consider the relative size or shape of that feature, compared with other members of that race. For example, African-Americans tend to have fuller lips. You need to take that into account when you read their face, so that you evaluate their lip size against other African-Americans you have studied.

How long will it take participants to learn this?

The question is not so much "how long" but "how accurate." You can be reading faces as soon as you learn what particular features means. Face reading is not hard. In fact, it's quite easy. But, as with most things, practice is important. The more faces you analyze, the more accurate you will become and the more useful this tool will be.
